About 30 km west of Pisa, there's Viareggio, on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The entire coast of west tuscany, called Versilia, is one of the favorite tourism site for those who need a summer holiday with 30 C and sandy beaches. I have been there a couple of times before, and I m heading there next sunday for the famous Carneval, which started January 31st and will end the sunday after mardi gras, february 21st. I m supposed to wear my Wizard hat, black clothes and join the party with a couple of friends. I m sure there will be at least a car with Italian Prime Minister's bleeding face around, as if Berlusconi needed even more advertising than its political counterpart isn't already doing for him. One piece of explaining: for those who did not hear about it, Berlusconi was hit by a Milan's Duomo statue in the face, for most italians that man's a hero.
Where is Viareggio?
