When people ask me what's the best place I have ever been to, my answer is often Millstatt, a little town named after the lake on the Austrian side of the Alps. I think the picture tells enough about the overwhelming beauty of this landscape. Moreover, there is a local music festival held each summer where tourists can enjoy a beer while sitting on the park's benches and they often sing along those popular songs widely known in the german speaking countries. There are also boat trips that include stops in the other small villages surrounding the lake.
