I was coming back from the visit to Lahti and Jyvaskyla back in the 2009 summer and I shot this picture on the plane. I had previously nailed the alpes, the sea, dawn and sunset, but the view the finnish lakes were offering left me stunned. The whole south-east region is filled with lakes connected one another through channels; to better give an idea on how far they spread, one way trip from Lathi to Jyvaskyla, by boat, takes 8 hours.
